I love you anyway.

I always tell myself to never again give him more credit than he deserves, but I can't help it. I like to put him in the best light possible to whoever. He and I are different in that sense - he likes to take most if not all the glory when possible, but I feel ashamed taking something that isn't mine. He thinks it's okay, but that really isn't always the case. Really, you changed your tire that quick by yourself though? F'real, you're shopping for presents? I'M THE LEO. Isn't that supposed to be my characteristic? This is why I don't buy into all that horoscope stuff, even if they are freakishly coincidental sometimes.

I love you, anyway.

Autumn is beautiful

It's probably no secret that autumn or fall is my favorite season of the year. The air is cooler, beautiful colors and arrays of foliage, football season, and the best holidays are in line. In a few weeks, it will be Halloween, followed by Thanksgiving, then Christmas, and finally the new year. It makes it that much sweeter too because my and Mike's anniversary is in November. The only complain I have though is that October through December is the most expensive quarter of the year. January-March comes in second; great, huh? Haha.

On Friday night, a group of friends and I went to the Dixon Corn Maze, the largest one in the world at 43 acres. Wowserz, eh? It was a fun  two-hour adventure, and I must admit that getting split up in half by twists and turns and finding one another was truly one of the best moments and feelings ever. I think the fact that we put ourselves under a time limit made the maze that much funner. Along the way, we found ourselves in the crop circle with two lost girls, one of whom I recognized from work! LOL. That was just nuts. So why were under a time limit? Because we had to drive from Dixon to Davis (which really wasn't that long of a drive) to make a 10:40pm showing of Paranormal Activity. In all honesty, I'm not one who gets scared of scary movies, but this one totally freaked me out. Unlike a number of my friends who found the movie a waste of time and not scary at all, I was spoooked. -__-* I didn't even want to go inside the house when I got home around 2am, so I called my dad to open the door for me. Hahah! :P I swear... something about past experiences was triggered by this movie. Yeaaaaah. I think I'm getting over it now though, and that's a GREAT thing!

P.S. I love breakfast, lol.

Parachute me.

My workplace is falling apart, and it's kinda funny. Of course there's the structure of management and employees, which I've talked about many times before. This time, however, was a different type of falling apart though symbolic. Upon returning to the workplace from doing on-sites, I found the kitchen flooded with stinky and stained water. What happened? I'm not really sure except for hot water temperature causing a pipe to burst. Any takers on that one? That's where the symbolic part comes in, but that's just me speculating. Hah. Anyway, the part of the ceiling that fell was coincidentally the part right above our surveillance videos. Mhmm.. hahah. I'm sure that's all fixed by now though, but it was fun while it lasted. :)

Also today, Mike and I went out to look for our Halloween costumes. We couldn't find what we were looking for, so we decided to go with Plan B -- we are making his costume from gathered materials, which shouldn't be hard. As for me, I ordered mine online. We're excited for this one. LOL. Mickey and Minnie! While online, I bought tees and a video camera. I'm excited to receive them already. Aahh! So much packages to wait for.

With that said, I need to not spend any more money than I already have. *sigh...* Can't it be November already?

And the countdown begins!

Actually, I've been counting down on my phone since the last week of August when I first booked this, but it is now completely official. The entirety of the vacation package has been paid, which means they'll be sending it our way soon. Yay! This is for my and Mike's anniversary next month. I'll reveal it when I receive the things. Anyway, it was either a cruise to Mexico or this one, but decided to go with latter. There were just too many things going on with Mexico in the past few months before our final decision plus I found this great deal before it was fully booked. YEA! I'm soooo juiced, aaahh! :D Hahah.

Bleh. My dunzo manager better NOT ruin this because I turned in my request two months ago, and was told it would not be a problem. Oook! :)

Hm, I wanted to buy some stuff online, but stopped myself. =) Kudos for me. More than that, I don't really know why I'm still up. I think it's the fear of having the same "nightmare" I had last night. *sigh...* I wish I could be more productive than I've been lately, but I give myself too much excuses not to be. I'm lame sometimes, and I hate it! It's almost just like how I hate another B2K Chargers basketball season of early playoffs elimination and no championship. Another next time...

Typhoon Ondoy

I would like to ask and encourage everyone to please keep praying for the Philippines, its people, and their wellness.

There are several donation sites, bank accounts, and collectors. Note that some of these are opportunistic scams, so please choose carefully! You may check the websites of some of the Philippines' major networks such as ABS-CBN and GMA. Major universities have also put up donation accounts and volunteer sites - check in with the likes of Ateneo de Manila, DLSU locations, CSB, UST, Miriam College, and various University of the Philippines locations.

You may also go to the Red Cross website to donate. Or call 1-800-435-7669.

If you are in the Philippines, there are several volunteer groups and sites that still need YOU! Please lend a hand or two.

If you are in the Bay Area, Azul in San Francisco will have a fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 1, starting at 9PM. 10% of proceeds will go to the flood victims in the Philippines. Clothing, food, and other non-perishable goods will be accepted at the door as well.

Heavy Rotation also put together Rock-4-Relief Mix CD especially for the cause. Cost is only $10 and all proceeds will go to Philippine National Red Cross for the Ondoy victims.

I am sure there are other ways to reach out. Check your local Filipino communities to find out. Remember, it's never too late to help!

Thank you.
God bless the Philippines.
