Love, Jesus :)

Belated Merry Christmas! :) I hope everyone's Christmas was as joyous and festive as can be. Mine was definitely simple but full of laughs and company from great people. Unlike past years, there were no midnight mass or Simbang Gabi for me this year, sadly. Instead, I attended the noon mass on Christmas Day. My family exchanged gifts at midnight from Christmas eve into the actual day. I was a happy little camper, and my nephew (Matt) made my night even better... or funnier. See, I got him an XBOX 360 game that I put inside an empty box of crackers to wrap. What did he do when he unwrapped it? NOT open the box.. lol, and assumed that was all it was. Ohh Matt. I loved ALL of my gifts, really! Lots of clothes, perfume, locket bracelet, PS3, and... a mug (lol, inside joke). Thank you everyone for the gifts, greetings, and thank yous.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday and decade, everyone. See you next decade... year!

"It's like a soap opera!"

Yeeeeah, I didn't get to finish my Christmas shopping this weekend. MONDAY, the 21st... for sure! *crosses fingers* I did, however, had a wonderful weekend! :) The Christmas party went well though a bit simpler this year. I swear there were more things to be thankful for, mostly because of everything that everyone had gone through in the past year... along with the global problems. We were all just happy to have still been together - happy and healthy. From my Secret Santa (Ate Sheryll), I got the MAC Frisky Business mini lipglass & lustreglass Holiday set. YAAAY! More for my new collection. (As you may recall, my original collection was stolen, boooo!) I was "Lolo" Emerson's Secret Santa, and I got him a 'Wii Wireless Ultra Sensor Bar w/ Extended Play.' Hehh :P Fun, fun. Overall, it was a fantastic night. =) I love those people, seriously. I have no pictures of my own though because I left my camera at home. :( Womp womp... time to bum off someone else's album.

6 Days til Christmas

I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping. I got just a few more important people on my lists that need to be crossed off -- most of them are the most important men in my life: my dad, brothers, and boyfriend. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish shopping this weekend. On the same note, the annual KB Christmas Party is tomorrow/later! I caaan't wait... :) I also finished wrapping all the gifts that Mike and I have bought so far, with the help of my dad of course - 27 and counting! Ohh my.. haha!

Lately, I've been thinking about the road I am on right now. I need to make changes, but making the rights turns and decisions are the challenges. Not to mention, how do I explain all this to my parents - especially my mom? Getting through her is difficult sometimes, especially when she has already made up her mind. *sigh...* Dad, please be my lawyer. LOL! :) It's hard when disappointments are visible on their faces. If only they knew how I really feel... if only anybody knew, really. =/

Nonetheless, it's a jolly season. :) Life is merry, and I'm truly blessed. I'm trying to teach and train myself, and learn from everyday experiences. Life experience points... rackin' them up!

More thank yous.

Delivery for my unit is set for Saturday morning. YAY! :) Thank you, Willy of Best Buy Natomas, Home Theater Department. How do I send in positive feedback about him and SUPER NEGATIVE feedback about the store in general? Someone, please tell me... reach me via Facebook or Twitter (or if I know you, call/text me!).

Other topics. Yesterday, my long-time friend Steve and I went to the Niners game against the Jags. NINERS KILLED! :D We had great seats, and mine was free! Well for the most part since I did drive, paid for two tolls and parking. Nonetheless, my expenses didn't amount to the price of my ticket. Thanks, friend! :) I hope you feel better... especially after your team's loss. Ouch! :P

So... I had an impulse buy because the site was having a sale! LOL! I bought two iPhone ID/Credit Card Cases. One for me and one for my brother (perhaps his Christmas present, haha). $15 off plus, free shipping, and no tax! Nomore stretching my iPhone cases (especially the Juicy Couture ones, sad!) or demagnetizing my credit/debit cards. Thank you, Lindsey for the head's up!

Mommy and Daddy bought me Cookies n Cream Cookie Chiller from Gloria Jeans. Aaah, at last! Haha. Thank you, parents. Yea, that's all I basically have to say right now. Thank you, Lord. :) Still my favorite from Thanksgiving Day. LOTS OF GRATITUDE TODAY. <3

And from my Twitter. RT @Starbucks: Tomorrow in the US and Canada. For every hand-crafted beverage, we'll give 5c to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa.

Thank you :)

Exactly a week ago was the Thanks for Thanksgiving dinner at friends' house in Sacramento (they're housemates). The night consisted of good friends, good laughs, and even more good times for the record. We ate legit, delicious food - turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, green bean caserole, pumpkin pie, and more! Those were just some of my favorite, haha! Other highlights were:
  • This is How We Do It, Motownphilly, Don't Stop Believing
  • Mafia, Killer, Zuma Zuma
  • Earth & Sky, Ervin Ramos, Dikembe Mutombo
  • Night vision goggles
  • Beer Pong - my best games ever!
  • Alex Wright
  • The One With the Rumor
  • etc. :)
Thanksgiving Day wasn't so bad. I went out the night before with Mike and two of our friends, so I had a pretty bad headache -- the worst ever! :( 3 shots of Patron plus Vodka & Red Bull (yuck!) had me gone for the night, making me think I'm becoming lightweight. Ahk! >.<* Anyway, Mike and I went to his house for the first part of our feast, followed by Jeremiah's house, and ended at my brother's house. Yeeeah - hella full! I can't wait for Christmas!

I didn't mix with the Black Friday mix. Nooo, thank you. Work was pretty steady -- I mean, who wants to worry about finance other than spending it the day after Thanksgiving?! Hahah. MORE FOOD! :) My dad and I went to Best Buy to look at his (and my mom's) potential early Christmas present. Best Buy Fairfield has AWFUL service. Grr! By the time we left the store, I was only able to purchase my GPS navigation. We went home to check it online and over the phone. The lady helping me on the phone was incredibly nice, but we ran into problems as the girl from the store made another mistake. Oookay?! Whatever - my dad and I decided to hold off on it.

Mike and I watched Grant demolish our Falcons. :( At the very least, I was able to test my GPS and fulfill my tummy. Mhmm. I came home to Kyla and my parents. Kyla slept over! TODAY! My brother came over, and went with me to hunt down that potential gift for my parents. ALL THE WAY IN NATOMAS! I'm hella thankful to the salesperson at BB Vacaville though. Their last unit was sold a half hour before we got there (snaps!), so he looked up nearby stores who might have it. Then, he called them for us! First -- Vallejo, but theirs was gone, then Natomas -- it was there! He had put on hold for us, and off we went (after McDonald's for Kyla). Their service was good until checkout time! First, the lady that was helping us was just standing around, until my brother had me ask what we're waiting for. We were waiting for NOTHING. Then, she charged me $100 more than I should've, and did not dare tell me anything I was paying for. OK?! Good thing I asked. Yup, my brother and I are hella proactive. Haha! :)

Now, I'm just waiting for them to call me about delivery date and time. I can't wait! :) I feel accomplished and grown. Mom and Pops are gonna be happy, I hope. Hahh!

OK. Totally put out my life on here - sorry! :P

34 Days 'til Christmas!

Highlights time!

October 30-31, 2009
Die Nasty Halloween Party :) I was part of the decoration committee, hahaha! Really though, that party was a success. Great outcome of 100+ guests with amazing costumes, DJ's playlist was great, and the house did not fall apart. I was straight up Minnie Mouse, not a knock-off from your typical Halloween stores. LOL, I love Disney.

November 6, 2009
Mike and I celebrated our third year anniversary. We both had work and school, so we had brunch at Max's and went about our days. It was simple but fun.

November 7-9, 2009
San Diego road trip! :) Mike and I visited Brandon and his girlfiend. On our first night, we celebrated their friend's birthday at a local bar followed by the karaoke bar. So much fun, but I was pooped pretty early. The following day, they took us to Julian for some apple pies. DELICIOUS! Mm. We had crabs for dinner, and I called it a night. I was sick! :( That Monday, Mike and I roamed the area while our hosts were at school and work. We went to Coronado and La Jolla. Cheers to feeling better, and to a great (but expensive) Japanese dinner.

November 10-13, 2009
DISNEYLAND! :) All day every single day. Hahah! We checked in at our hotel early because they already had our room ready. Yay Paradise Pier! The view was great. We're gonna work our way up, haha. It was amazing. We were chosen to dance with Mickey and Minnie on Main St. to celebrate love. We also watched all the shows and parades, and rode all the rides we wanted to go on - some more than once. One night of that week when Disneyland closed early, Mike and I went to a ramen house in Fountain Valley. It was so good! It was Mike's first time at a ramen house, so he thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Mhmm.

November 14, 2009
Check out day, wahh! Before we left though, we got our annual passports and my Dole whip float one last time. YUM! We also did last minute shopping in Downtown Disney. Then, we stopped by Hollywood for their cheap souvenirs (lol) and CB&TL. Finally, we were homeward bound. Lucky for us, we made it home in time with about half hour to spare for the Pacquiao-Cotto fight. Outstanding performance by Manny, and definitely a great fight.

November 15, 2009
Samantha Gabrielle's baptismal! I'm officially a ninang, again! It was so much fun. I love that girl! Aahh!

A week later... reality had already gotten me tired. Time for another vacation!

I love you anyway.

I always tell myself to never again give him more credit than he deserves, but I can't help it. I like to put him in the best light possible to whoever. He and I are different in that sense - he likes to take most if not all the glory when possible, but I feel ashamed taking something that isn't mine. He thinks it's okay, but that really isn't always the case. Really, you changed your tire that quick by yourself though? F'real, you're shopping for presents? I'M THE LEO. Isn't that supposed to be my characteristic? This is why I don't buy into all that horoscope stuff, even if they are freakishly coincidental sometimes.

I love you, anyway.

Autumn is beautiful

It's probably no secret that autumn or fall is my favorite season of the year. The air is cooler, beautiful colors and arrays of foliage, football season, and the best holidays are in line. In a few weeks, it will be Halloween, followed by Thanksgiving, then Christmas, and finally the new year. It makes it that much sweeter too because my and Mike's anniversary is in November. The only complain I have though is that October through December is the most expensive quarter of the year. January-March comes in second; great, huh? Haha.

On Friday night, a group of friends and I went to the Dixon Corn Maze, the largest one in the world at 43 acres. Wowserz, eh? It was a fun  two-hour adventure, and I must admit that getting split up in half by twists and turns and finding one another was truly one of the best moments and feelings ever. I think the fact that we put ourselves under a time limit made the maze that much funner. Along the way, we found ourselves in the crop circle with two lost girls, one of whom I recognized from work! LOL. That was just nuts. So why were under a time limit? Because we had to drive from Dixon to Davis (which really wasn't that long of a drive) to make a 10:40pm showing of Paranormal Activity. In all honesty, I'm not one who gets scared of scary movies, but this one totally freaked me out. Unlike a number of my friends who found the movie a waste of time and not scary at all, I was spoooked. -__-* I didn't even want to go inside the house when I got home around 2am, so I called my dad to open the door for me. Hahah! :P I swear... something about past experiences was triggered by this movie. Yeaaaaah. I think I'm getting over it now though, and that's a GREAT thing!

P.S. I love breakfast, lol.

Parachute me.

My workplace is falling apart, and it's kinda funny. Of course there's the structure of management and employees, which I've talked about many times before. This time, however, was a different type of falling apart though symbolic. Upon returning to the workplace from doing on-sites, I found the kitchen flooded with stinky and stained water. What happened? I'm not really sure except for hot water temperature causing a pipe to burst. Any takers on that one? That's where the symbolic part comes in, but that's just me speculating. Hah. Anyway, the part of the ceiling that fell was coincidentally the part right above our surveillance videos. Mhmm.. hahah. I'm sure that's all fixed by now though, but it was fun while it lasted. :)

Also today, Mike and I went out to look for our Halloween costumes. We couldn't find what we were looking for, so we decided to go with Plan B -- we are making his costume from gathered materials, which shouldn't be hard. As for me, I ordered mine online. We're excited for this one. LOL. Mickey and Minnie! While online, I bought tees and a video camera. I'm excited to receive them already. Aahh! So much packages to wait for.

With that said, I need to not spend any more money than I already have. *sigh...* Can't it be November already?

And the countdown begins!

Actually, I've been counting down on my phone since the last week of August when I first booked this, but it is now completely official. The entirety of the vacation package has been paid, which means they'll be sending it our way soon. Yay! This is for my and Mike's anniversary next month. I'll reveal it when I receive the things. Anyway, it was either a cruise to Mexico or this one, but decided to go with latter. There were just too many things going on with Mexico in the past few months before our final decision plus I found this great deal before it was fully booked. YEA! I'm soooo juiced, aaahh! :D Hahah.

Bleh. My dunzo manager better NOT ruin this because I turned in my request two months ago, and was told it would not be a problem. Oook! :)

Hm, I wanted to buy some stuff online, but stopped myself. =) Kudos for me. More than that, I don't really know why I'm still up. I think it's the fear of having the same "nightmare" I had last night. *sigh...* I wish I could be more productive than I've been lately, but I give myself too much excuses not to be. I'm lame sometimes, and I hate it! It's almost just like how I hate another B2K Chargers basketball season of early playoffs elimination and no championship. Another next time...

Typhoon Ondoy

I would like to ask and encourage everyone to please keep praying for the Philippines, its people, and their wellness.

There are several donation sites, bank accounts, and collectors. Note that some of these are opportunistic scams, so please choose carefully! You may check the websites of some of the Philippines' major networks such as ABS-CBN and GMA. Major universities have also put up donation accounts and volunteer sites - check in with the likes of Ateneo de Manila, DLSU locations, CSB, UST, Miriam College, and various University of the Philippines locations.

You may also go to the Red Cross website to donate. Or call 1-800-435-7669.

If you are in the Philippines, there are several volunteer groups and sites that still need YOU! Please lend a hand or two.

If you are in the Bay Area, Azul in San Francisco will have a fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 1, starting at 9PM. 10% of proceeds will go to the flood victims in the Philippines. Clothing, food, and other non-perishable goods will be accepted at the door as well.

Heavy Rotation also put together Rock-4-Relief Mix CD especially for the cause. Cost is only $10 and all proceeds will go to Philippine National Red Cross for the Ondoy victims.

I am sure there are other ways to reach out. Check your local Filipino communities to find out. Remember, it's never too late to help!

Thank you.
God bless the Philippines.

Welcome to the world, Samantha Gabrielle! :)

hey bay.

Last night was the SF Giants Filipino Heritage Night II, and Mike & I went as did several other people we knew. We waited in line for hella long to get our complimentary shirts which look pretty cool. ;) We went into the ninth inning down by four runs (0-4), and that basically said that we (the Giants) were having a terrible game night. Then again, that inning was our explosion inning as we scored three runs. WE COULD'VE WON, IF WE DIDN'T WASTE OUTS. =( So basically, I went from mad to sad to heartbroken. IDK, damn it.

But giving that rundown isn't my purpose right now. I want to write about how annoying last night was. I (Mike, too) went for the love of the Giants. The fact that it was FHN was just a bonus. Last night's game meant more than just a game to us and all the other real Giants fans. It meant catching up to get into that wildcard position. It meant playoffs, possibly a National League title, and even the World Series. Yes, I know that was dramatic... but you haaave to understand where I'm coming from! -___-* There were A LOT of Filipinos and friends, majority of which you could tell were there just to be there. Seriously?! One good example was the girl who sat in front of us aka the girl with dead hair. She was drunk (if not, then she was good at acting like it) and did nothing but talk, sing poorly, and block our damn view. Bitch, get out. I was sooo annoyed that I wanted to pull her hair. I didn't though. Other examples? Those boys and girls who were dressed for the club at a BALL GAME! C'mon now. Then there were those who were actually wearing the merchandise, but were very obvious that they only had them because it's a "cool" thing to have. UGHH! It depresses me. Sports isn't for kicks, or hollerin', or anything. It's LOVE. PASSION. EMOTIONS. LIFE. It's something more than just being there.

Thank you.
*cry*

football season

Purse organizer
Purse hanger (because I lost mine, *sigh...)
iPod touch sleeve
2 SF Giants Filipino Heritage Night tickets

All of these were purchased within a half hour, and while trying to listen and keeping one eye on the DVR'd 49ers season opener against the Cardinals. WIN!

Weekend was not too bad overall. Family time - lots of time with Hammy! :) Saw Bentley's funny self after forever. Boyfriend and brother won their basketball games. Brother's new tattoo. Dinner at the Villa Sanchez. Away time from work. All geee.

raaaah!

It's almost a slap in the face sometimes to realize again why it is that my boy:girl friend ratio is so lopsided. I've always had more guy friends than girls, and it still holds true. It's difficult to make girl friends happy. Guys just don't give a damn as long as they're having fun. Then again, I should kick myself for always trying to build long-lasting, sometimes forever, friendships anyway. I've got to stop feeling obliged to keep in touch or laugh out loud or share my thoughts and experiences. It's time that I sit back and be satisfied knowing I have my few but quality girl friends. I should also give a shout-out to my guy friends for being there no matter what... even when I suck at making time to hang out. :) Haha.

Food and live sports are waaaay better than shopping for the in-style clothes & make-up anyway. Although I've got to admit... I wouldn't mind the latter! ;) At this point, some girls are babbling again.

On to another topic... I miss being busy! I really, really miss the productive days when twenty-four hours didn't seem enough to call a day. Oh, the days when I didn't have much time to think of negative things, and all my energy produced something great and beneficial to myself and others. Oh Presh of the past, how I miss thee.

999

Today is 9/9/09.  Wednesday has 9 letters, September has 9 letters, and today is the 252nd day of the year: 2+5+2=9.

Who remembers 9/9/99? I do, sort of. I only remember the fact that the MTV Video Music Awards was on that night, and how it was a pretty big deal. I don't know. Pointless fact; just wanted to write something.

In a few minutes, I'm going back to the gym after a hella long hiatus. I'm iffy about this. I feel so out of shape again. Hitting the gym hard for a month or so then stopping can do huge damage. Damn. I also have a lot of studying to do. =( Someone save me!

Monday, September 7, 2009

I'm wearing white...

No matter how hard I try to get away, I can't help but keep coming back blogspot. It's "home" I guess, and looking back to my posts from 2002-2003 makes me laugh! I was so carefree, and so heart broken by the Kings. Oh Lord... being a Bay Area/Nor Cal sports fan is such a rollercoaster ride. Save me.

Since last time... =) On Sept. 1, friends and I went to the California State Fair. What started to be a group of eight turned out to be a group of eighteen! Talk about rollin' hella deep. Haha. I was sad that Mike couldn't go though because he had to stay at work. Next year, next year. It was pretty fun though, especially because it was $1 ride all night! We only rode 5 rides, but we played a lot of games and ate sinfully. Deep fried Oreos are the best! Mm... I want some right now. *sigh...*

On Thursday (9/3), Mike and I went to San Francisco after he got out of work. We wanted to see the Bay Bridge before it closed for the weekend. Lol! We made it with one hour to spare, woot woot. We drove around for a little bit, and found this sushi joint on Haight with good food for cheap prices. We binged then got coffee at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf before heading back home. Oh boy.

The following day, we ate at Texas Roadhouse for the Nth time. We love that place - good food, cheap prices (that combo is always a winner!). After hanging out a bit more, he left to sleep since he had an early Saturday commitment. I, on the other hand, got a phone call right before I was about to get ready for bed. It was Michele and Lindsey with an invitation for some late-night beer pong. Without much thought, I went. It was fun and chill, and I learned how to play Ninja. I even won once! Hahah.. yea.

Saturday afternoon, Mike and I went to Palo Alto for some Sprinkles cupcakes, and then drove around Fremont while sippin' on our TapEx. Memories of that city! Oh my.. made me want to go back to being a child. Sunday was very eventful! :) After church, I went out with the Sanchez, my brother, and Kyla for lunch. Hella gooood food! I even went to the store next door to buy more good food, haha. Then we picked up other people, and went to the dealership for a little bit. Left when the salespeople were being assholes. Went to In & Out, then Rock Band & Wii Sports. Yaaah...

& now it's Labor Day. I wanted to go to the gym and get some studying done, but the sickness got the best of me. Ffffu. Not cool. Umm... I just realized how much I typed about my week. LOL! I haven't done that in a while. Sorry. Look at it this way though, at least I didn't talk about the negatives. Hahah ;P

Giants time.

Happy Birthday, Mike Jackson!

This week didn't start off very well.  I went to work on Monday for the first time after my five-day vacation.  You all know I didn't do anything on my vacation, and that I only took it for the sake of my birthday plans... which failed. School too. I guess while I was gone.. all hell broke loose at work, and my name (or initials) were involved. WTF, right?! Anyway, a few minutes after getting there, the manager comes in and calls me to the office; my supervisor was there too. I was asked about a log that I only saw once in my life, and that was during the week I filled in at the Exchange branch. She asked why I initialed it ONCE, and I told her why. I felt her being stuck, so she scolded me for not asking her or the other supervisors about it. YEA, BECAUSE THEY'RE THERE. BITCHES! :) Anyway, I told her everything I knew and didn't know, and moved on. There was an orange notebook involved too, but I never saw that in my life prior to that day. Oh then... I got a counseling because my two of my C.A. were not approved by a supervisor. RIGHT, BECAUSE SHE'S THERE. PLUS, SHE STOPPED APPROVING SHIT SHE DOESN'T WANT TO. HM.

That's far more detailed than it should be, but whatever. Life moves on.

The rest of the week was okay. Yesterday was the best. (; After school fxn, I went to San Francisco with my dad, Patrick (nephew), and Mike for the GIANTS game. We had really good seats - behind the home plate, where they serve you food (not free, lol). Lovely! Giants played the Rockies, whom they're trying to catch up to for the Wildcard spot. Hella good game; crucial too! Tim Lincecum was our starting pitcher, and that basically meant "good shit." Hahah ;) Our section was entertaining because we had this guy yelling at every Rockies player that went up to bat. SOOOO FUNNY! :D The game ended in the middle of the 9th inning. Giants won 2-0. Super cool! =) And my dad fed us nonstop, plus bought all of us shirts. Exciting.

Now, it's the weekends. It couldn't have come sooner. -_-*

i need to sleep already!

I found my old passports (ones from my childhood), and figured that I might as well have been born on an airplane. ;p Most of the pages were filled with stamps, yet my current one is barely filled. I think it has a total of four stamps? I don't even know, but it's not as colorful as the older ones. I wish to travel again, so that I can make actual memories for myself. My mom can still do the packing and unpacking for me though. Haha :)

I'd like to find a cute passport holder, so that my passport isn't so bare and blue. Speaking of - gotta look at airfares to get an estimate on how much I should save, if ever...

Jordan.

I just had the most uneventful birthday of my life so far. I shall not go into it because I'll probably get cranky all over again. I did NOTHING of what I thought I was going to do. Such a waste of my time - taking the day off from work, I mean. I don't classify myself as a workaholic nor do I prefer workplace over anywhere else, but that was such a wasted vacation time... mainly because I wasn't in a decent mood. Grr.. -_-*

I do, however, appreciate all the greetings, wishes, and gifts that came my way. I am so blessed. ;D

Now, I'm waiting for my mom and sister-in-law to come. Seafood dinner... here I come! I mean I already had a bomb ass brunch, so what's more good food? I love food. I will work for food. and coffee.

:)

Pounding?

STRESSED! ;( There's no exaggeration in that either. Of course, work is always a major factor. I swear people are either hot or cold, and the temperature changes every half hour or so. WTH right?! I guess I work with some bi-polar individuals. Despite it all, though, I still love them. LOL. Oh! Then there's school - same old stuff. Signing up for classes, searching for more and new programs, looking at schools in general, aaand (the saddest part of it all) cashing out on tuition and books. Can I get out of college already?! Daaang. Also! There's vacation planning. I swear, I love vacations but sometimes planning is a bitch, especially when it's at your own expense. HAHAH! I mean... there's the anniversary trip in November and the family trip in March. I have to file for vacations still, and I know my boss is about to hate me. ICK!

Being grown isn't nearly half as fun as being a kid. My birthday is in five freaking days. No plans, no wish lists, no vices. I just want to have fun. =)

Pound cake is ready. Burnt cake, lol. OOOPS!

Sup Baaand?

I understand that they look up to you like you're so knowledgeable, but it would be nice if you share the credit with your source(s).

Sometimes I wish you wouldn't talk or act like you hella know things first hand, or make people think you're someone that you're not. It makes me sad. It also makes me mad sometimes. =/ At times I feel irritated because of all the lies you made up just to make yourself and your family look good to me, but you would not tell them the TRUTH to make me and my family look not-so-bad to them. Thanks. Someday, you'll know. Also, I hate to say this to you, but you've acquired some of your dad's traits. Don't worry though- I see you no less, but I wish you'd put me on some sort of pedestal. =) Like thaaat hoe.

Don't get all mad now. I know I have my shortcomings and annoying habits. I'm sorry. That's me. What you should know, though, is that I always give you all the credits you deserve, sometimes more. I tell my family you do this and that, bought this or that, when in reality... it was me who did something or bought whatever. Remember the flowers? I told them they were from you, even though we both know they're not. Gorgeous long stemmed roses delivered to my door from God knows who, and you still haven't learned. Too comfortable. You gotta make yourself uncomfortable, remember? Tch.

I miss. I miss. <3

Monday, August 3, 2009

meee month.

I'd like a do over please. 2004 to present :) My passion for living, and all that are love would remain the same. I would just like to make better judgments and decisions, steer farther away from all distractions and pseudo-everything, and definitely make myself a priority. Of course, there's no such thing as "do over" in life, but I can improve. That improvement starts NOW! Time for some Carrie Underwood, and let Jesus take the wheel.

Take me to Reno!

Last night, I received a phone call from someone asking for a favor. Because I love her and her son, I naturally said yes to babysitting. I canceled all personal plans and turned down open appointments for this. When I got home, I tried to make the guest room baby proof, so he can be comfortable. It's now 9:15pm, and I have yet to receive a call or text message with some sort of cancellation. A no call, no show for a freebie. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be upset or okay with this. I'm somewhere in the middle. =/

ps. I wish I was in Reno right now. I still want to go. :( I hate illnesses.

NO SWINE NO!

I made it out of the Exchange branch alive! :) I'm back at my branch now, and it was evident that my regulars were happy to see me. As a matter of fact, two were so happy that one ran from the door to my station upon seeing me and the other came back after his work to bring me chocolates. Yay! Haha. Conditions have yet to get better though, ugh. Our newest addition to the team gets annoying. He eats whatever he finds in the break room without asking, and leaves his mess for everyone else to pick up. =/ No bueno!

As for life - Mike and I have been trying to put our gym memberships to good use. It's sort of working, lol. I need a good body massage, so I guess I'll be looking up some good nearby spas soon. I finally saw The Boy in the Striped Pajamas; such a good and moving movie. Must see! :] And... I still want to see Ice Age 3 and the newest Harry Potter movie. Ah! :] It's unfortunate that I am feeling sick right now- coughing my head off. It hurts. :(

Yea.. I think I'm gonna try to take a quick nap. Hella craving In & Out. LOL.

Ps. No57 with a no-no... Mm ;)

Ipodimus Prime

I HATE MY WORKPLACE! Please don't confuse that with "I hate my job" because I do NOT hate my job. I simply hate the condition that the place is in right now, and its management team. I swear, it's freaking hell in there. Not to mention, I will be covering the Exchange branch this entire week, and that is not by choice. ROM needs to freaking open her eyes to the madness. SHIIIT!

Finally saw Transformers 2. I liked the first one better, but it wasn't as bad as people said it to be. I'm not sure if it was $30 worthy either, although IMAX is cool. Whatever... I just like Transformers. lol :] Now, I want to see Ice Age 3!

Fourth of July was chill. Mike & I went to the Suisun City Marina Waterfront to watch my niece and other dancers from her dance company perform. It was so cute! Aw, haha. Then, we walked around and had lunch with my brother & his family. Hung out some more, got strawberry daquiris and kettle corn, then split. We met up with them later in the afternoon though at the Sanchez' residence. Good food! I especially fell in love with the homemade burgers, potato salad, yellow mangoes, leche flan, and iced tea made with calamansi! Mmm ;) Hahah. We watched the fireworks show in the sky from their front yard, pretty much. I love colorful skies. It was good times.

Oh! I bought a new iPod - a 2nd gen Shuffle. It's basically for the gym. I tried holding onto my phone last week, but that became bothersome after a while. I assumed the same for my iPod Touch. I could've bought an armband or something for the Touch, but I'm not the armband type gal. LOL. SO YEA. Lol, Mike named it Ipodimus Prime. Hahah! Also, I finally watched Marley & Me. Loved it... even though my eyes were red by the time the movie ended. Ah! I want a dog, but... gahh. I miss my old dogs though. :(

Childhood. I miss theeee.

Bugsy.

Undermeciated. lol :) Bedtime Stories does not fail [me].

Bittersweet symphony, yea. No championship this season, again. I swear that trophy's getting more flippin' expensive! And then losses of icons- the most popular being the Michael Jackson. I love that man's music. Work -enough said.

On a brighter note, I have gym membership again! YESSS! 24 Hour Fitness, I'm coming back! :) After four long, fattening years... finally! LOL. Mike and I decided to finally push through with getting down with the health bizz and join a club... especially since the gym on base isn't gonna cut it for us any longer. (I feel dunzo about this excitement, lol.)

California weather is being weird although today was perfect. =] Hot enough for all outdoor activities, but cool enough to not sweat profusely. Lately, the family has been enjoying swimming. I love timeshares. Haha ;) I'm so juiced about being tanned, iLove. Oh! Saturday: Mike & I went to San Francisco randomly, and saw a glimpse of Gay Pride Parade. COOL! I wish I could've taken pictures. Lol, next year! Then had a delightful Pier 39-type lunch: crab sandwich, calamari, and live jazz music under the sun. Mm!

5:45a wake up call. Gotta buy fruits. Dreading the thought of work waiting for me on my desk, lots of them. & really, just wanted to share the last leg of my June with my future memory loss. I'm hoping for a better July. *crosses fingers...*

GOOD NIGHT.

three point oh.

On the norm, I would love for coffee to keep me awake, but this is not one of those times. I have work at 8:30a, and I'm afraid I'm going to crash upon waking up. Ugh! Not to mention, work so far this week has been crappier than ever. Boo work poopers, I swear. -_-*

My iTunes is currently up and running on shuffle, and I must say that it's kinda cool. =] Soundtrack of my life currently on random. I love it when a song I've forgotten about comes on, but I haaate it when a song that reminds me of dumbass moments comes on too. I seriously need to clean up my iTunes asap. Speaking of which, I should've listened to the first song that came on my iPod this morning. Don't Take it Personal by Monica. I should've just stayed home by myself and gone to sleep - that might've helped a bit.

The 3.0 software for iPhones comes out today. I can't wait! I don't know what time though... c'mon Apple! :] Make me happy. Hah! Btw, I haaate student loan and student aid requests. They always fail me- and always contradictive. Where do I place?! tchh, SOS?

hella WET

Work was crappy all week, and I could not wait until 3:10p on Friday to say adios. =]

On Friday evening, a few good friends and I went to (club) WET in San Jose to celebrate Lindsey's birthday. VIP status in the gorgeous fish tank meant free drinks all night. Mm, mm, mm! ;) Dance floor was crackin', too! It was just an uber fun time with amazing people. Unfortunately, the ending put quite a damp on the night. Someone stole Lindsey's iPhone straight from underneath our table. WTF?! Crazy thing was that our wristlets and my iPhone were there too. That was some shady bizz, and I felt sooo bad. It had to have been some of the others from the same section, bleh... I'm still confused seeing as how VIP sections have security. =/ On a brighter note (I guess), now she has a reason to get the 3Gs. lol :) But of course, the night ended with La Vic's burritos. Their orange sauce was so good. Mm, thanks Leo! & happy birthday, Lindsey! ily.

Saturday went by so quickly. I woke up 3x, but didn't get out of bed until 1p. MAN! I haven't slept in for that long in forever - getting home at almost 5a was no excuse either. I must admit that it felt hella good though, haha! Anyway, I got up to take a shower, and found myself aching and hurting. When I got to the bathroom, I took a look at the side that was just hurting, and I saw a big, nasty bruise! I don't even know how the heck I got that. Did I fall? Hit something? IDK, but that bruise was (still is) huge and uber red & purple. o_O* Yeah, well I'm a soldier. LOL. So Mike & I had lunch at Amici's, then went to his game. Our team won, woohoo! ^.^ I felt bad for my brother though because his team lost, all because of #7's Jameer Nelson-esque IQ-less last minute play. Estupido! Anyway, next week! :) I'm iffy about the Rookies (another team). I kind of want to play them again, but since the only time it could happen this season is in the championship game, then nevermind ... I don't want to see them in the championship. hahah. Who wears UGGS in the summertime?! And why would a top hat-wearing camera man talk crap about another team's game saying that his team's win against our team doesn't count because that was during the regular season when he can't even play?! Yeaaaa. Wow. BEEETCH.

UH. I just realized how much ranting I just did. Pardon me, please. I'm hella tired. -_-* Good night.

I like you temporarily.

I fiiinally saw UP! (thank you, Boyf) & I kept the 3D glasses as my cute little souvenir, haha. Because I was such lame`o, I cried like a baby minus the loud wailing and such. For about 93% of the movie, I was either laughing or crying, the other 7% was a mixture of other feelings. If you've seen it, you'd probably understand. If not, then I suggest that you take the time to watch the movie.

Anyway, I don't really want to say a whole lot about the movie because I might spoil it for those who haven't gotten the chance to see. However, I just have to say that...

I want a love like Carl and Ellie's type-love.

KID me not!

This is depressing. Life has passed me by, and I feel officially OLD. Children I used to look after and gave advices to upon entering MIDDLE SCHOOL are graduating HIGH SCHOOL! O_o* Seriously?! I almost want to point a finger at them with a perplexed look on my face as if to say, "B.. b.. but you just got your eyebrows waxed for the first time last week!" Or if he were a fella, "Didn't you just hit puberty two weeks ago?" This is crazy, and I don't even know why it's hitting me hella hard. LOL damn.

Onto other not-so-depressing news. GUCCI is coming to Vacaville Premium Outlets. I mean... are you kidding me?! ;D I love Gucci, and just about any human being good enough friends with me can attest to this statement. BUT I've got a bitter-sweet feeling about it right now. 1) Hello?! Shopping is that much funner and closer. 2) There goes my paycheck. 3) It just might get overrated - sort of like when Coach and Burberry opened their doors in that vicinity. I barely even go to the outlets. Part-time job, quizas? Or not. *sigh...*

ICK!! Life.. I need to move on. It's JUNE... already.

Woohoo!

Last week went by hella fast - maybe because it was a four-day work week. Still though, work was busy with all the accounts changes and things. Oh, but we made it again! Woohoo! :)

Oh! I totally didn't even take the time to write about last saturday's (5/23) commotion at the basketball courts. It was crazy, and if I took the time to write about it now... there'd be a chance that I could go on forever. Basically, it involved a supposedly grown man who failed to be a sport calling for back up to get revenge. BAD IDEA! His back up had a weapon of sort (most def not a gun or a knife, but was still potentially deadly), and started swinging after a second ball game. Results included busted lip, forehead, shoulder, and black eyes. Rumble. Innocent men who were trying to break up the fight were also hurt. WTH?! After much-a-do, ambulance and cops came and did their shindigs. People tried to deny affiliations, and that basically failed. How the F do you not know who's on your f'n team?! Estupido. Yesss... after a few days, I guess the runaway fella came out, but is now out on bail. There'll be hearing in two weeks. I'm waiting on that now...

Other than that, great weekend for sports. King James failed to deliver championship to Cleveland, aaaagain - hah! :) Magic gave them a run for their money, winning the Eastern Conference Final 4-2. It was a happy moment to see Turkoglu (formerly of the Kings, y'know the team from the early years of this decade that David Stern decided to cheat? Yup!) and Pietrus (formerly of the Warriors) savor that moment. Happy, happy! ;D Then, back to local sports, the Falcons' LeBron-like (from game 2) buzzer beater was to die for, and the Chargers' high scoring 78-77 victory was a good way to end sports world for the weekend. Oh, and the SF Giants won too, hah. <3

SO YEAH! Happy weekend. Cupcakes and ultimate mocha were on point. Aaand, Mike looked good today. :) I love it when he dresses up and tries to look good when we go out. Haha, yay! Ok, really... the end.

Epic Fail

When people believe in Magic.

Memorial Day weekend

Memorial Day weekend was uber fun! :) Lake Tahoe, CA for a picnic, kayaking, tanning, and relaxation. Gladly, we were able to avoid traffic on the way to and back. There was so much food, and Monday morning breakfast was awesome! Lol. Overall, it was an awesome way to kiss Spring Semester goodbye! :D

Finals

It's finals season. Being able to count the number of finals I have to cram for with a half pinky makes me really, really sad. ;(

personal battle, and it's a sucky one.

Mama's :)

Mother's day was a little different this year, but the fun remained. :) It consisted of great food, and sounds that were undeniably those of silly machines. As for the kiddos, my mom got us a hotel room for a few hours until the adults were satisfied with their playing time. Hooray free stay perks! Sometime during the night, I managed to burn my tongue by sipping a cappuccino without thinking. :|

I've been trying with all my might to finish a book that I have to write a 5-page review for by Wednesday. I only have two chapters to go, each consists of about 35 pages each. I need more sunlight because apparently, I study and read better under natural lighting. Lol :P Night classes are certainly not my cup of tea, even though they're so dang convenient! History, please. I will finish, no frets.

I wanted to write something a bit more inspiring, but I am so pooped - mentally and physically. Working daily on top of school and crap is draining. Sometimes, I wish I didn't have to be confined in an Arctic-like office all day... especially in my cutesy little cubicle. Bleh! >_<*

KO`d

*too lazy to make a collage of pictures, so in words...

  • Teacake Bake Shop cupcakes never fail. CBTL coffee, too. :)
  • Caramel cake is just to-die-for, kind of. But it really is so good!
  • I missed out on Hard as Nails rally, but J. Fatica wasn't there anyway.
  • Mom's birthday was a blast! :D
  • We had a birthday party slash Pacquiao-Hatton fight party.
  • Pacquiao's KO on Hatton was smashing, literally. Cheers were so loud the world could not sleep.
  • Crabbing in Sausalito, CA with brothers & friends was uber fun. We caught a good amount of crabs... enough to share between five households. :P
  • Ketchup.
Blessed. <3

Kate!

Last Friday, I saw and met the amazing Kate Gosselin. If by chance you've never heard of her, Google her. ;) She made a stop in Pleasant Hill for her book signing tour, so Lindsey and I took the opportunity to see her. Of course, we had to buy the book in order to get the wristbands, which were required to be in line. It was worth it though. Mission accomplished. Oh and I just have to gush at how pretty she is. =) Next mission: to meet the rest of her beautiful family, Jon and the eight little faces.

Happy Easter!

This Lenten season, I felt the works of God happen to me. The beautiful way of its beginning with the flight to LAX for LA Congress was just a simple glimpse of what was ahead of me. I began the journey with the ministry that would re-strengthen my faith in Him, and that was an experience in and of itself. The people I saw, met, and heard during the four-day weekend was heart-opening. I thank and praise God for that. My 40 days of sacrifice was nothing in comparison to what Jesus had done for me, personally. Without Him, I am nothing. As the season rolled on, I am reminded of what I have learned of my personal past dating all the way back to 2000+ years ago. For God so loved the world, He gave us His only son. That alone gives me the overwhelming feeling that someone loved me before He could even meet me. It's an amazing love.

On Friday, the CORE team put together an activity for the youth to experience and feel the Lord's sacrifice. Though not everyone was ready for it, the result gave all of us the affirmation and satisfaction that we are doing right. When we did the activity amongst ourselves, we realized its impact and intensity. We would never understand unless we've been through it ourselves, truth. And so as this Lenten season ends, I want to share that I have renewed my vows with the Lord, and a healthier heart resides in me. A beautiful Easter Sunday it was, Praise You Jesus. Alleluia, Alleluia!

April Showers

Gaaah!
  • It's spring time, and it has been raining all week. I miss last week's sunny weather.
  • Work has been so hectic. My schedule is indefinitely tentative. It's gay. I feel unappreciated, and am definitely underpaid.
  • I'm broke, and this time... I am not to blame. I'd rather not discuss this any further.
  • Allergies are whack. Headaches are even more whack.
  • Annoyed. Irritated. Trying to stay calm.
Horrible awakening.
On Sunday evening, a good friend of mine, Joe, was a victim of neighborhood crime. Click here to read the story. When I read text messages and tweets talking about the incident, I could not believe my eyes. I thought I was dreaming, or perhaps reading incorrectly. Then, of course, reality hit me. He underwent surgery on Monday, is well on his way to recovery. He is still, however, in everyone's prayers, including mine. How could such thing happen to such a great guy? I don't have any answers, nor do a lot of people close to him. Still, things happen for a reason. Though unfortunate, I'm sure it's God's way of sending us all a message. We love you, Joe. You're amazing, and like everyone said, you gaaangsta you! :) Rika's lucky, as are you. May the truth come to light. <3

That's all for now. Spring break is next week, and for the first time in years, I am going to stay in town for work. Boo being grown up. *sigh...*

My teeth fell out.

I was just about ready to fall asleep when the dream I had last night dawned on me. I meant to look up the meaning of it during the day, but never got around to it. (There goes that being too busy thing again.) Anyway, I figured that I look it up before I forget all about it, which is what tends to happen. See, I had a dream that my teeth fell out along with parts of the gum and palate that I never knew even existed, or at least could fall out the way it did. To say the least, I was horrified to see myself with no front teeth and weak gums. Hah! I almost cried, but I woke up before anything else could happen. The first thing I did? Looked in the mirror to make sure my teeth were still in tact. It sounds funny now, but it wasn't this morning. =/ Anyway, I 'googled' dreams, and below is an excerpt (that of which I thought related to me) from dreammoods.com.

Teeth are used to bite, tear, chew and gnaw. In this regard, teeth represent power. And the loss of teeth in your dream may be from a sense of powerlessness. Are you lacking power in some current situation? Perhaps you are having difficulties expressing yourself or getting your point across. You feel frustrated when your voice is not being heard. You may be experiencing feelings of inferiority and a lack of self-confidence in some situation or relationship in your life. This dream is an indication that you need to be more assertive and believe in the value of your own opinion.

I just thought I'd share because it somewhat related to what I had just vented about. Uncanny. And for the record, I rarely look up the meaning of my dreams. Perhaps, I should start looking into it every once in a while. Idk.

April Fools.

It wasn't until I looked at my iCal that I realized a new month has begun. That's pretty sad.

I feel the need to pay a little more attention to the world around me. I have been so caught up with work, school, and other bah humbugs that I forgot where last month went. Looking back at my planner, month was full of "plannings" for short-term, one day type of events. Really, those were what they were: short term plans. Thumbs down for me.

Since LA Congress, I've been trying to be involved with youth group again. Our April newsletter looks amazing! :) I can't wait to send them out to parents. Also, I have been on a hunt for a few good volunteering opportunities. Something that everyone in the group can participate in and have fun with. Hopefully, we as a whole will be able to come up with something.

SO. Even though life has been good to me in the past month, I still have things to vent. See, I try to do what I can, but it seems as though nobody believes in me. If only people would listen up, then perhaps I can deliver something great. When nobody cares to listen, the urge to be proactive just goes away. I mean what for, right? Powerlessness. I'm not saying that everything I have to say or give is magnificent, but they could be helpful. Yes, believe it or not, I can be helpful. (ha!) Spirit committee. Social events organizer. Community service coordinator. Those were all me. For four freaking years of my life. And if I may say so myself, we freakin' rocked! Yay, Mustangs! Haha. Now, believe in me people. I'm part of the Core, too. (:

Powerlessness. In general at the moment. I need to find a niche, once again. I've lost my grip, and it's time to get it back. 'Create a clean heart in me, O God.' Amen.

Nonetheless, I'm loving things. & people. & life.

I joined the club

I have thought about this for a while now... like a long, long while! Two years worth of long while. Haha! ;) Anyway, what was supposed to be a casual visit to the AT&T store turned out to be pricey. First, I bought Mike a new cellphone because he's been wanting one. He decided on the Samsung Eternity. (No, that was not the thing I debated on for two years... LOL) I, on the other hand, joined the club. The iPhone club! :D (Yes, that's the one.) I named her Leah... from JK+8. Yup!

Anyway, I don't really have any other interesting things to talk about. I know, I know. Boo me! :P G'night.

LA Congress

Last week, eleven friends and I flew to Anaheim to attend the LA Religious Education Congress. I have to admit that it was a really good trip in the lights of learning, getting inspired, and establishing better relationships. There we danced, we sang, we laughed, we cried, and more. We also saw and met a lot of amazing people... like Justin Fatica. =) That guy is freaking amazing, I swear. Other speakers like Mark Hart and Mike Patin also made being there that much fun! Music was super uplifting too, as was always my experience with these kinds of events. "Uncle Jesse" Manibusan and Josh Blakesley were among the fun bunch! :D I'm just really, really glad that I went, especially since it's been about two years since my last event of this sort. Now, I hope that I can start applying myself more and start showing the way. I feel great about the Core group, and I know that God will guide us through our journey. Amen. LA Congress 2009, SUCCESS! :)

While we were down there, there were more things that happened. Our Lenten season promises were challenged, true colors came through, our patience were tested, aaand we visited Disneyland! ;P It was an absolute joy just being down there, and I wish everyone could experience the same type of high. Hopefully, our bunch will be able to go again soon... and with more people hungry for His message.

Hearty

School and work have consumed me almost completely, so this three-day weekend feels great! :) I finally filed my taxes, so that's one less thing to worry about. I realized while dress-shopping that I have gained so much weight, and it was almost depressing. Still, I made the best of it. LOL.

Valentine's Day was great. ♥♥♥ Mike came over with the Valentine-type stuff: flowers, candies, balloons, and a card. Then we had dinner at 'Skates on the Bay' in Berkeley, and watched Confessions of a Shopaholic at the AMC theatres in Emeryville after. Yes, he watched the flick with me willingly; actually, it was his idea-ish! :) He was really cute, haha.

Oh! I finally joined Facebook - especially for Lola Sarah's announcement. (: Be my friend! Yeah, I don't have much else to say... well, NBA All-Star weekend was here. Mm! Aaand (how could I forget?) I finally bought my new toy! :) I got a Nikon D60 - which marks my first Nikon camera ever. I wanted a Canon DSLR because I love Canons, but it just wasn't meant to be at the time. So far though, I'm loving my toy! I'm still trying to get to know it, and all these Nikon features. :P

Getting there

This post will just be talking about myself, so if you'd rather not know... then don't read. =]

I feel like I am slowly taking tiny steps into the world of less dependence. I said "less dependence" because I know for sure that I am nowhere close to complete independence yet (sadly). For a long while now, I have been relying less and less on my parents financially. I pay for my own bills and miscellaneous expenses: cellphone, credit cards, gas, and whatever else I choose to indulge myself (usually shopping and fine dining). However, I feel like I took another baby step these past couple months. I paid for my own trip expenses, car registration (yay!), and part of my tuition fees. In the next few weeks, I will be cashing out on the rest of my tuition fees, text books, prescriptions (contact lenses, eye glasses, etc), and more trips. I know I whine about having so much to pay for and using my credit cards more than I should, but I feel alright for some reason. It must be that feeling of ease knowing that I am slowly taking off some burdens from my parents' shoulders. It's a really, really good feeling, and I just have to give myself a pat on the back.

YAY me! :D

The 44th US President

I shall remember sitting in my room at that very moment, watching in awe, and soaking in a piece of history that will live on forever.

Toad!

Since Monday, things have gotten better. A LOT BETTER! :) Work is becoming steady once again although there are still some changes that everyone's trying to get used to. The rest of the week wasn't too eventful, but it sort of felt like it was in a weird way.

First, my boyfriend turned another year older. Happy birthday, Mike! To celebrate, we went out to Cheesecake Factory for dinner and dessert. While the birthday boy stepped away to wash his hands, I gave our waiter a head's up about the celebration. When it came time for dessert, Mike was surprised to have singing waiters serving our dessert plate decorated with sprinkles and chocolate syrup spelling out a birthday greeting. It was cute. :)

Second, I was able to watch two wonderful and amazing movies. Gran Torino and Milk. Gran Torino had the audience laughing out loud and sometimes even rolling! It was such a simple yet brilliant movie, and I can't even imagine a more moving ending. The following day, Mike and I watched Milk in its respective city of San Francisco. Of course a film could never compare to real life, yet this movie made me want to know more about its characters. It was also inspiring to see someone with so much passion never give up despite his many downfalls and failures. Now, it is mind boggling to think about what could've been had Milk not been assassinated. Oh the wonders - bringing me back to Prop 8. =/

Third, stuck up, high pitched, uhhuh-after-every-phrase-saying Asian girls are annoying! Tiffany BOA, you suck. STFU and quit acting as if you're sooo cool because you are sooo not! :D

Anyway, that was pretty much the rest of my week. I really just wanted to keep a digital note, haha. Good night! =] Oh, by the way... the weather last week was beautiful!

dunzo.

HELLA FREAKING DUNZO!
wtf?!

My evening was certainly not any better than my morning, and the only thing that actually helped the night was having dinner with my sister-in-law and niece. I don't even know why I bothered staying awake. I should've just locked myself in the room, and slept the night away in hopes of a better day tomorrow. Now, I'm stuck thinking of what to do to keep myself busy for the next few days. I hate these kinds of thinking. Ughh.

POSTSCRIPT My conversation with God tonight was a comical one. =] Yes, I know... hecka random. LOL, it was really cool though. Then all these songs came on, and we got stuck listening. ;P

When people are sketchy.

Work was at its weakest today. The moment I entered the building, I already knew I had been thrown under the bus. Thanks a lot, Lilian. I wonder what crap she said about me, but that doesn't even matter because I don't give a damn. The only fault I will admit myself to is the fact that I did not respond in person to the stupid call & problem. However, it was not my fault that someone named Lilian did not verify what she was putting in/out. It was not my fault that there were mixed up bills within a strap. No, no, no. I am not going to take blames for those.

I'm sorry that checking up on the balances before leaving town was not doing my job. I'm sorry that you didn't verify the straps. I'm sorry that you feel like none of this is your fault, but that you wouldn't tell the manager that because you've implied it was her fault. I'm sorry that you owe me three days, but because I never say anything about it, you have forgotten or just don't want to risk taking some heat. I'm sorry that none of this is your fault. Ugh! >;[

On another note, today was the "new" supervisor's first day on the job at our branch. She has been in the position for a while in a different branch. What I wonder though is that why the heck does she not know how to do 90% of our work?! We lost partners & a lump-sum because 1) she was so slow. 2) she didn't do the paperworks correctly. 3) she allowed them to see her lost in her work. Good job. However, I like her sweet and fun persona. Oh, and the manager who was supposed to train her was MIA for the most part. Good job, bosses.

Brandy was my only salvation for the day. Haha :)

Online shopping

Online shopping is freaking nuts, and is starting to become an addiction again. Just this week alone, I've spent $250 online. Most of that went towards purchases from MAC. By the way, their Friends & Family 25% discount is still going on, and will be expiring tonight. HOP on it now! :) As you might already know, my entire make-up collection was stolen last summer among other valuables, so I had to take advantage - especially on brushes. *sigh...* Other than that, I also bought work clothes and little nick knacks for random gifts. Soon, I hope to get at least 1/4 of my collection back. I'm working my way up again, ha ha.. from MAC and on up.

Yeah, I just wanted to share in case some of you are hoping to grab something of MAC descent. Lol. Off to work I go!

"There is a God!"

Look what I found in my workstation this morning! A lovely surprise from dear boyfriend. xo Who would've thought - after all the shananigans, there is something in "there!" LOL. He definitely caught me off guard, and I think that's great! :D Also, my co-workers now think he's a darling. Haha! xo THANK YOU, BOYFRIEND.

Mm

It's 2am, and I'm aimlessly typing my life away. I could have put in 1.5 hours of sleep already, but my mind stayed awake for some reason. Times like this make me wish I lived in a big city where there's a 24hrs coffee shop around the corner that could adopt me for the time being. Instead, I live in a semi-populous city, where the only 24hrs Starbucks will no longer no longer be 24hrs after tomorrow/today, whatever. It was really heart-breaking to learn, especially because that's the p2b. *sigh*

So... much like last year, this one has been full of binging so far. I know it has only been three days in, but if you saw what food I've been consuming hour in and hour out, you'd be amazed my BMI is still in the "normal" range. Just last night, Mike treated me out to BJ's Restaurant/Brewery where I ordered a humongous but tasteful plate of Chardonnay Shrimp Pasta paired with my subtle alky fancy glass of Strawberry Splash. With the suggestive size of the plate, I only finished my entree halfway. However, I did finish my drink and some of Mike's cutesy cocktail, What A Peach. All of that preceeded with half of my carne asada burrito and a slice of mango cake for lunch. Beastly, yea? ;P Then today, we had a late asian-themed lunch. Vietnamese pho and Thai iced tea. Mm, mm. Then just a few hours later, we drove out 35+ minutes to Hooters for some chicken wings and exciting playoff football. The only thing missing was a mug of beer, and I could have been "one of the big boys." Hahaha :)

Btw, I jumped out of my seat the moment the Chargers scored that winning touchdown in overtime. Imagine if that had been the 49ers, I would have been crying! Next year for my men, most-def. Yeaaaa...

I should probably force myself to sleep. Maybe use some of that "sleep" body lotion from Bath & Body Works' aromatherapy collection. Church early in the morning, then probably more playoff football. Also, I just realized that this has become somewhat of a food post. Oops, haha! Oh well, a merry new year thus it has been so far. *crosses fingers* Stay, please.

two thousand nine

I decided not to type a sappy post about my 2008. Frankly, I don't want to remember most of that year. With the number eight being my favorite, 2008 will certainly not make my favorite year list... not even close! If there's anything I'd like to remember, it would be that week in June that my family went on a cruise, in July when I got a new job, and in December when we took a So. California trip. Oh, I can't forget the summertime when I spent almost every night with my girlfriends. =) That's pretty much it. The rest of my things-to- & not-to-remember will be kept away in my time capsule box. On it says, "Do not open... ever."

On a brighter note, I rung out the new year quite festively. NYE dinner was at my eldest brother's house - HECKA GOOD FOOD! :) After binging and laughing out loud with family, Mike and I stopped by BFF-F Brandon's house for a little bit. I love seeing my lifetimers, and Mike apparently enjoys joining their functions as well. I'm glad they get along. ;P Beer pong was pretty much intense - Team Private School vs Team Green Valley. LOL, hella dunzo! It was too bad that we had to cut out early, but we made it to my house with three minutes to spare. When the clock struck midnight, Dad, Mom, Mike, and I made noooooise! :) Then, off we went to my other brother's house for more celebration with the fambam. It was great. By 3am, I was pretty much plastered and unable to function. That's a good thing! ;)

YAY for a great new start. HELLO, 2009 - please be my new best pal. <3
